Underquoting by real estate agents is endemic in Australia. Its now almost a convention that agents advertise a price range to potential buyers that is significantly less than the eventual sales price in an effort to create more interest in the market. RealAs is an app we designed and built, supported across iOS and Android, that allows users to search properties and access the market’s most accurate predicted sales price. Prices are generated by the RealAs proprietary algorithm which incorporates factors such as recent local results for similar properties as well as consumer demand and bidder’s predictions. RealAs won the inaugural Westpac Innovation Challenge.
